KA SECURES NEW CONTRACT OF MEUR 14 WITHIN THE DRIVELINE BUSINESS AREA

Kongsberg Automotive (KA) and its Driveline business area have recently won a new contract based on KA’s Gearshift Systems with a lifetime value at approximately MEUR 14  The first deliveries to the European based customer will start in 2012, and production will be in Cluses, France and Vrable, Slovakia.  The program includes deliveries of manual shifters and shift cables to a top selling medium-sized vehicle. The modular design of the gearshift system fit to every 5-speed and 6-speed gearbox of this customer. By using one shifter for multiple programs, complexity and cost is reduced for the OEM.. “We are pleased to continue winning business with leading car makers.
