KONGSBERG AUTOMOTIVE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING IN CHINA

We are pleased to announce the grand opening of our new 5,000 square meter manufacturing plant in China. The new plant is located in the Wuxi Singapore Industrial Park, Jiangsu province, at the heart of Yangtze River Delta Zone, 150 KM west of Shanghai. The Grand Opening celebration was held on Nov. 15th, 2006. The ceremony was very rich in Chinese tradition including guards along the red carpet, lion dancers, Chinese instruments performance, fireworks, and confetti! About 200 guests from around world had joined this event. Kongsberg Automotive (Wuxi) Ltd was established in Nov. 2004 and operated in a plant of 1000 square meter facility for 15 months. We started our deliveries to our customers in Mar. 2005. This new plant will allow us to establish more production lines necessary to the Chinese market. It will also allow a more efficient means of servicing our many US and Europe customers who are expanding operations into China. Olav Volldal, Kongsberg Automotive`s CEO, says, `The key word to emphasize here is `expansion`. Our Global customers have expanded abroad, so we need to be there to support them. The high service and quality levels that we will strive for world wide also have a place in China.` Bent Wessel-Aas, President of Far East & General manager of KA (Wuxi) Ltd is very proud to having established our presence in China - the 12th country in which KA is established. He has been with the company for more than 20 years and has been the key decision making person to have our China plant here in Wuxi. The international automotive industry is our market. Gear Shift - Automatic gearshift systems and Manual gearshift systems.
