Kongsberg Automotive wins new EUR 6.2 mill. contract with a leading Turkish commercial vehicle OEM

Driver Control systems (DCS) has been awarded a contract worth EUR 6.2 mill over 5 years. The contract is for clutch servo’s for the new Euro 6 truck platform and is scheduled to be launched in second quarter of 2015.

Annual vehicle volume is expected to reach 17.000 units which will be equipped 100% with the clutch servo from Kongsberg Automotive.

According to LMC Automotive, the Turkish commercial vehicle production is expected to grow with a compound average growth rate of 9.5% over the period from 2013 to 2018. Turkey remains an attractive market for KA due its healthy growth.

The servo units will be produced in the KA facility in Hvittingfoss, Norway.
