Strike at Kongsberg Automotive’s Raufoss and Hvittingfoss plants

Zurich, April 19, 2023: Following a breakdown in negotiations between the Norwegian United Federation of Trade Unions and Federation of Norwegian Industries, Kongsberg Automotive (KA) employees organized in Fellesforbundet and FLT at Raufoss and Hvittingfoss will go on a strike, effective April 21, 2023 06:00 (CET), until further notice.

At this point, 312 out of a total of 433 KA employees in Raufoss and Hvittingfoss will be impacted by this strike.

KA’s Raufoss facility will stop production, while the Hvittingfoss plant will run at a limited capacity.

KA`s Raufoss plant produces various coupling systems primarily for the commercial vehicle segment. KA ‘s Hvittingfoss plant mainly produces gear and clutch systems, for the commercial vehicle segment.

The two plants make up to 20-25% of KA’s annual revenue.
