Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KONGSBERG) has received two orders with a total value of 320 MNOK for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. The orders enable continuation of current production and cover delivery of Air-to-Air Pylons to Marvin Engineering for Low Rate Initial Production phase (LRIP) 10 and delivery of Center Fuselage parts to Northrop Grumman for LRIP 11. Kongsberg Defence Systems (KONGSBERG) has won an order from Lockheed Martin valued at 560 MNOK for deliveries of rudders and vertical leading edges for production lots 9 and 10 (LRIP 9-10) for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.The contract is a continuation of deliveries from previous production lots (LRIP 3-8) and supports the continued business relationship between KONGSBERG and Lockheed Martin. “This contract demonstrates KONGSBERG’s continued competitiveness of high end manufacturing and represents the first contractual indication that the ramp up of F-35 aircraft delivery rate is now coming.

This summer KONGSBERG has signed contracts with Marvin Engineering and Northrop Grumman to a total worth of MNOK 300. The Norwegian Government has decided to present the continued development phase II of the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) for the F-35 Lightning II – Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) - for the Parliament (“The Storting”).For KONGSBERG this represents a continuation of the JSM development until 2013, should the Storting approve it.
