The Economic Tendency Indicator fell one and a half points in June compared with the previous month. However, it remains considerably above the average, indicating continued strong growth in the Swedish economy.

Business: Employment plans less expansive than previously

The confidence indicator for the business sector fell three points in June and has declined a total of ten points over the past four months. This decline applies to all sectors except the manufacturing industry.

Consumer: Households remain optimistic about personal finances

Household optimism is slowing somewhat, but remains strong in June. The Consumer Confidence Indicator (CCI), which measures confidence in personal finances and the Swedish economy, fell to 16.7. This is nearly twelve points below the peak in September 2010, but the CCI remains over ten points above the historic average. The Macro Index fell 3.1 points in June and the Micro Index rose 1.6 points.
