The Economic Tendency Indicator fell 0.3 points from 111.6 to 111.3 between June and July this year. However, it remains at a level signalling considerably stronger than normal business and consumer sentiment.

Business: Industry forecasts more subdued growth for next few months

The confidence indicator for the business sector rose 12 points between the first and second quarter this year. The indicator has risen over 50 points in just over a year and is well above the historic average. 

Consumer: Household interest rate expectations rose in July

The Consumer Confidence Indicator (CCI), which measures confidence in personal finances and the Swedish economy, rose 1.3 points to 23.3 in July. This level means that confidence in the economic situation is considerably more positive than normal. Both the Macro Index and the Micro Index increased somewhat in July. The Macro Index rose 0.8 points to 37.6, while the Micro Index rose 0.3 points to 8.3.
