ASSMANN Büromöbel opens a showroom in Manchester

Having acquired segments of Frem Group Screens Ltd. last year, the German furniture manufacturer continues to build on its presence in the United Kingdom

With successful showrooms already in operation in London and Glasgow, ASSMANN Büromöbel GmbH & Co. KG officially opened the doors to its new ASSMANN showroom in Manchester in mid-October. More than 100 visitors celebrated with the German mid-sized company, which is one of the UK's best-performing office furniture manufacturers. "With the new showroom in Manchester, we will have an even greater presence in the UK market!", managing partner Dirk Aßmann is pleased to report. "Our office furniture and furnishing solutions for modern work environments are now even more accessible for our British customers."

Showroom as inspiration for customers and dealers

The new showroom, with more than 700 sqm of floorspace, is located at 39 Spring Gardens, right in the heart of Manchester's business district. It invites architects and specialist retailers, end customers and suppliers alike to have a look at the latest office furniture trends from ASSMANN on site – from Syneo lounge furniture and the Cubas storage space system to the height-adjustable desks in the Canvaro range. Visitors can also consult with and get advice directly from the ASSMANN experts in the showroom. 

Further increasing market share in the UK

Last year, ASSMANN already took over segments of the English Frem Group Screen Ltd. company based in Haverhill, Suffolk. With participation in Frem and the opening of the new showroom in the UK, the mid-sized family company from Melle, Lower Saxony, wants to further strengthen its position as a provider of office furniture systems for modern work environments in the United Kingdom. ASSMANN is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and has marketed its furniture all over Europe for several decades. With the showroom in Manchester, the number of representative locationsthroughout Europe now increases to 15, including showrooms in Paris, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Amsterdam.
