Sustainable, multifunctional and technological solutions for modern working environments at the international design festival in London

With a wide range of furnishing solutions and future-proof products, ASSMANN consistently demonstrates its excellent instinct for shaping modern, inspiring working environments – while repeatedly setting new standards in sustainability, functionality and design. At Clerkenwell Design Week from 19 to 21 May in London, ASSMANN Office Furniture Ltd. will present smart technologies and adaptable furniture for a modern working world in its own showroom (The Forum, 69 Turnmill Street, EC1M 5SY). In London, ASSMANN is once again proving that ALL YOUR WORKPLACE NEEDS is a lived benchmark for modern working environments.

Smart solutions for the modern office day
“Contemporary and inspiring working environments where people enjoy working and feel comfortable today also include digital tools that efficiently support flexible work,” says Arron Claydon, ASSMANN UK Managing Director. At Clerkenwell Design Week, ASSMANN is presenting smart office solutions that noticeably simplify the working day. These include intelligent storage systems that transform traditional lockers into digitally controllable solutions. Operated via app, they enable flexible use, ensure greater order and security and integrate seamlessly into modern, networked working environments.

Maximum flexibility with Cubas Flex
Furniture ranges such as Cubas Flex offer maximum flexibility, allowing working environments to be adapted to employees’ needs in the shortest possible time. They give employees a high degree of self-determination: thanks to modular elements, they can spontaneously and with just a few simple steps create precisely the environment they need for the task at hand. As ASSMANN demonstrates at the design festival in the former warehouse and factory halls of the vibrant London district of Clerkenwell, this is made possible by a patented fitting system that allows tool-free reconfiguration in no time. The Cubas Flex modules can be individually configured as seating or grandstand elements as well as project or conference tables. This makes them ideal for agile meetings, for the flexible adaptation of communication zones in open spaces or for the temporary setup of lounge areas. At the same time, through the successful multifunctional use of spaces, Cubas Flex helps save valuable floor area: rooms are no longer tied to a fixed purpose but become adaptable.

Height-adjustable, colourful, sustainable – Cantaris sit-stand desk
With the Cantaris project furniture series, ASSMANN shows how modern working environments can be designed to be flexible, functional and aesthetic. With the Cantaris sit-stand desk, the company is expanding its range with a height-adjustable desk that combines ergonomic working with contemporary design and expressive colour options. Alternating between sitting and standing fosters dynamic working, while reversible connections, reduced material usage and easy disassembly make the desk optimally suited for reuse and recycling. As such, Cantaris is aimed at everyone seeking ergonomic, colourful and sustainable solutions for modern working environments.

Master of transformation Wondawall
The Wondawall, a mobile partition on castors, is at the same time a design element that offers versatile applications – ideal for flexible working environments. It can be effortlessly used as visual shielding, a room divider or a presentation surface. Naturally, the furniture is aesthetically appealing and available in many different decors. “We are convinced that employees who can express themselves and feel comfortable work more productively, are more creative and achieve better results. Our working environments make an important contribution to this,” Claydon continues.

Focus on sustainability
Sustainability is a firmly embedded part of ASSMANN’s corporate philosophy and anchored across all areas of the value chain – from product development and the supply chain through to re-use. In line with the guiding principle “Sustainable. Holistic.” the family-owned company has defined key topic areas that determine its circular approach. Conservation of resources forms an essential principle. This is implemented, among other things, through collaboration with regional material suppliers and through the continuous increase of recycled content. For example, the chipboard used comes from regional recycled wood and travels the shortest possible transport routes to delivery. This reduces CO₂ emissions while strengthening regional, circular-oriented networks. Already in the design and production of the furniture, consistent attention is paid to using materials efficiently and minimising waste. Another central field of action is the development of products that are suitable for circularity: through professional refurbishment, individual furniture components or entire pieces of furniture can be reintroduced into the material cycle. The focus here lies not on maximising a single metric but on achieving the best possible balance of carbon footprint, resource conservation and material quality for each product.
This ambitious path is pursued with the greatest possible transparency. The regularly published sustainability report provides verified key figures in line with the GRI standard and makes ASSMANN’s holistic commitment comprehensible.

ASSMANN long-standing presence at Clerkenwell Design Week
