November Is National Pet Cancer Awareness Month, There is Still Time To Help

In 2011, Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. (VPI), the nation’s oldest and largest provider of pet health insurance, received more than 48,000 claims for cancer diagnosis and treatment in pets – making cancer-related conditions collectively the fourth most common type of medical claim received last year. In a continuing effort to educate pet owners about the prevalence, detection and treatment of pet cancer, VPI again recognizes November as National Pet Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of this, VPI is donating up to $20,000 to the Animal Cancer Foundation for each new Facebook “Like”.  In addition, if you are already a current VPI fan on Facebook, you can also contribute by sharing a post about this campaign from the VPI page with your friends.

VPI has raised over $130,000 for the Animal Cancer Foundation to date, please help raise another $20,000 for this worthwhile cause.   Simply go to VPI's Facebook page and click "Like," or "Share"a pet cancer post, and $1 will be donated on your behalf.

P.S. Sharing this note on your social media sites does not constitute a "share" for $1 donation.  People must share the pet cancer posts from VPI's Facebook page so they can get an accurate count.
