Artistic Kosta Boda
Sara Woodrow has created her first collection for Kosta Boda with a sharp sense for contemporary, graphic art.
Painted glass has long history of being one of Kosta Bodas hallmarks. With Sara it now takes the plunge into the 2000s with three series of graphic paintings on glass: In a Storm, Ladies and Face of Color.
Kosta Boda are happy to welcome Sara and her strong, challenging and contemporary work.
This autumn’s collection also contains new beautiful, handmade items from Kjell Engman, Bertil Vallien and Anna Ehrner.
The autumn collection is completed by new additions to our bestselling series.
In a Storm

With rain lashing in your face and the wind ripping your hair In A Storm makes its entrance just in time for autumn. Sara has managed to capture the feeling of the forces of nature at play and with just a couple of intense brushstrokes she has created three expressive and powerful paintings of likewise expressive and strong women. How will you take on the autumn storms this year?
Lady

Is it the hat that does it? Or the bow in her hair? Perhaps it’s the dress? There are many ways to be ladylike and the only thing that is certain is that we probably all have our own way.
In the series Lady Sara picks up the traditional female attributes and gives them life in the form of young, cocky girls showing some attitude and self-esteem worthy of a young woman in 2014.
Face of color

Faithful to the Kosta Boda style with bold colors and strong brush strokes, Sara illustrates three lives with different experiences, fortunes, futures and dreams.
Poppy
Design: Kjell Engman
It's colorful, it's playful and it’s bubbly. It's Kjell Engman's new series Poppy! Poppy consists of a bowl, a plate and two vases of various sizes. All in a lime green and purple color scheme that draws to mind the poppy seed pod bursting. The series design is the result of collaboration between the glassblower’s knowledge and Kjell's eye for captivating details.
Twine
Design: Anna Ehrner
With her sharp sense of shape, her knowledge of the challenges of glass blowing and her eye for details Anna Ehrner has once more created a series for Kosta Boda that hits the bull's-eye. This time in the form of the Twine vases that comes in two colors and two sizes.
Twine is available in blue and grey.
Red Rim
Design: Bertil Vallien
Two shades of blue, which intertwine and create Red Rim’s subtle pattern, with a strong red edge that crowns the item. Red Rim is a new series by Bertil Vallien, that will be available as two vases and a bowl.
Red Rim stands as firmly on its own as in the company of other ornaments, or with a big batch of flowers.
Basket
Design: Anna Ehrner
There is no doubt that glass is a clear trend in interior design right now. Nor that precious metals of various kinds is a decor trend on its own. What happens when you combine the two? You get something as magical as the gold, silver or copper shimmering Basket series.
As before Basket comes in two sizes and this autumn’s colors gold, silver and copper. Which one will be your favorite?
Cup Cake Vase

The wildly popular Cup Cake series grows further and we now launch vases in the characteristically crinkled and fluted glass pattern. The vases are launched in all the four colors found in the series before: turquoise, blue, purple and grey. Whether you always buy flowers on Fridays, or if you prefer to pick your floral splendor in the fields, we are sure the flowers will fit perfectly in your new Cup Cake vase.
Limited edition art glass
Champagne, Drop, Water of Life 60 pieces

As part of a brick wall with molded bottles Kjell has created his latest limited edition art glass pieces in the series Ease. The three pieces Champagne, Drop, and Water of Life all have their unique idea and history.
The large glass pieces balance beautifully and safely in a rack of steel.
Escape Boat, 60 pieces

With a passenger in shimmering gold Bertil’s Escape Boat rests on a rack of black granite. The color ranges from a colder silver grey shade into a much warmer orange hue.
Memory Boat, 60 pieces
Design: Bertil Vallien
This fall you can hang a boat by Bertil Vallien on your wall. This latest limited edition piece Memory Boat has all the classic Bertil attributes but this particular boat hangs vertically on a backboard ready to be mounted on your wall.
