Kosta Boda filled with Energy
Kosta Boda takes on spring 2014 with powerful, playful and loving novelties in the true spirit of Kosta Boda. We continue to work for technical innovation in glass, for loving Olympic Games in Sochi and for artistic products. And we do it our way. With items with a soul. Items that mean something. To us and to others.
Energy
Design by Anna Ehrner
“Like the power in the strike of lightning” Anna Ehrner once descibed the dish Energy. And she is right; it does give a powerful expression with its clarity when it comes to shape and color.
With Energy Anna continues to develop her technique with coiled glass and it is perfectly clear that the success is pointing straight upwards.
Cup Cake
Design by Anna Ehrner
This spring the Cup Cake series is extended both vertically and horizontally. A new item is added to the family, a wide practical dish and all of the items are released in a new color, smoky grey.
The grey nuance is perfectly suited for the soft pastels or bright colors that we see this spring. Fill the bowls with colorful fruit or jelly beans.
Two of Us
Design by Kjell Engman
A celebration of love. Love for our fellow humans. Persons of the same sex or opposite sex. With the Two of Us series we let you choose, one of each or two of the same? It doesn’t matter; it is everyone’s right to lifelong love that matters. With the Two of Us series Kjell, and Kosta Boda, celebrates everyone’s right to show their love.
Open Minds
Design by Ulrica Hydman Vallien
It’s been a year since the shot glasses in the Open Minds series were first released. Last August the champagne glasses entered the scene. The glasses have become trophies for collectors all over the world and each year a new color is being launched. In 2014 the color is red since it is the color of love and why not a gift for someone special
Still Life Skull
Design by Ludvig Löfgren
The first Skulls in the Still Life series were released in 2008. Since then the popularity of the skull hasn’t faded, on the contrary they are more popular than ever. They have been used in thousands of still lifes, to serve yummy ice cream and on the most beautifully set tables. Just to mention a few occasions. Red, green, purple and clear are now joined by white, grey and pink.
Limited Art
Brains
Design by Bertil Vallien
Blues is the melancholy and moody Brains who has his antipode in the positive and outgoing Sunny. The trio is completed by the problem solving, creative and philosophical Thinker. Who are you?
Landing
Design by Bertil Vallien
A space ship lands on a planet far away in the break of dawn. You can sense the green fields and rippling brooks but still no man has ever been here. What will dawn reveal?
Oval
Design by Martti Rytkönen
”Inspired by the meeting between colors” is how Martti Rytkönen the creation process for his new series Oval. “The interaction between colors, when they float over and under each other, creates interesting effects and the massive crystal gives an exclusive feeling”
