Open Minds
Design by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien
Ulrica Hydman-Vallien is known for her characteristic tulips, snakes and faces. This year these decorations adorn a new shot glass. The glass has a molded foot and stem with a mouth blown cup and is produced in our hot shop in Kosta where it is also painted by hand. The foot and stem of the glass have the same shape as the Open Minds vase and the glasses are also presented in the familiar “Open Minds’ colors”. Black, white, clear, blue and pink.

The classic Open Minds Dish is now available in clear glass. Beautifully simple but still with Ulrica's well known painted faces.
This season, the well known Open Minds vases are released in two new colors, pink and turquoise. Brigth and vibrant, just like spring.

Martti Rytkönen goes Kosta Boda! With his first ever Kosta Boda product Martti Rytkönen has created a delicious footed bowl with colors and shapes that are truly inviting and eye catching. By Me is the bowl you cannot resist. That you just have to have. It has an expression in its design that lifts the glass and light, airy spring colors.
What do you put in your bowl? Candy? Jewelry? Strawberries? Only your imagination can stop you!

In 2010 the first glasses in Åsa Jungnelius’ Sugar Dandy series were released. The series has grown and this year the series is complemented by a bowl that comes in five colors. Just like the other item in the Sugar Dandy series the bowl has the characteristic bottom as its hallmark. Rolling, bubbling and alive, just like Mother Earth.

This spring she gives us something new to think about, a bowl of clear glass with her signature design, but with a pattern pressed into the glass instead of a painted decoration. A bowl as beautiful on its own as filled with something sweet.

Designer Anna Ehrner has created the well know Santa that has become a dear friend in many homes during Christmas. The little Santa Noel of the Year is adorned with an orange hood with red stripes this year.
