Krea is growing market share as Swedish SMEs increasingly choose to compare financing options digitally
Krea, the financing service for small and medium sized businesses, has grown its volume by 60% in 2021, while the addressable SME lending market declined by 2% according to SCB. The company has paid out nearly 300 Msek during 2021 in financing to small and medium sized businesses through their digital financing service. This is a sign that companies in Sweden increasingly choose to compare financing options digitally.
Krea is offering small to medium sized businesses access to finance through its digital financing service. The platform has been expanded from only offering business loans to increasingly solving more complex financing needs - today, Krea has a solution for business loans, factoring and commercial real estate loans.
- “We have broadened our service offering and made it very focused on what small and medium sized businesses need. Today, we are well positioned to support smaller requests that look for a fast solution as well as more complex needs up to 30 Msek in financing” says Carsten Leth, Chief Commercial Officer at Krea
During 2021, the market experienced rapid change as increasingly larger companies used Krea’s platform to find a new financing partner.
- “We started to offer tailored financing advice for larger businesses in 2021 and the largest company group we supported found SEK 23.5 Mkr in new financing through Krea. We invest heavily in building a service that caters to the need of SMEs and equally gives Lenders access to new attractive customers” says Carsten Leth, Chief Commercial Officer at Krea
