Kumon Celebrates Student Achievement With Facebook Contest
Parents Share Their Child’s Accomplishments
VAUGHAN, ON -- Whether a child aced a difficult test, showed improvement in a particular subject or overcame a challenge, Kumon invites parents to share their child’s academic success story. Launched July 6 on Facebook, the Kumon Celebrating Success Contest gives parents the chance to win a NOOK color e-reader as a reward for sharing their child’s accomplishments in the 2010 – 2011 school year.
“Kumon believes in unlocking the potential in every child and this contest is an opportunity for parents to celebrate their child’s triumphs,” said Hideki Kusuzawa, president of Kumon North America. “The summer is a good time to reflect on the past year, and to recognize a child’s commitment to academic achievement.”
Kumon will accept contest submissions from July 6 to July 20. To participate, visit the Kumon Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kumon, click on the ‘Contest’ tab on the left side of the page and share your child’s greatest academic accomplishment in 250 words or less. The contest is open to anyone in the U.S. and Canada (excluding Québec) who would like to recognize a child in their life.
On July 22, a panel of judges will select the top 10 submissions. Kumon fans will vote for their favourite story until July 31, and the top three vote-getters will win a NOOK color preloaded with a selection of books from Kumon’s Recommended Reading List.
