Tecnomen Oyj receives a fim 40 million unified messaging order from Taiwan

TECNOMEN OYJ RECEIVES A FIM 40 MILLION UNIFIED MESSAGING ORDER FROM TAIWAN Tecnomen Oyj has received an order for a communication system with a considerable value. The company will deliver a Unfied Messaging system to Chunghwa Telecom, Long Distance & Mobile Business Group of Taiwan. The value of the contract is USD 6,282,800, approximately FIM 40 million. The major part of the system will be delivered during 2000. The delivery comprises an expansion to the voicemail system that Tecnomen has previously delivered to the Taiwanese operator. This expansion enables the use of Unified Messaging services over the Internet and WAP phone. -As the number of mobile network users per operator is constantly growing, this deal strengthens Tecnomen's position also in Asia as a supplier of comprehensive communication systems, says president and CEO Vesa Helkkula from Tecnomen Oyj Abp. Tecnomen develops and markets data communication systems to teleoperators and service providers worldwide. The company' product range comprises communication systems and wireless Internet solutions as well as prepaid and paging systems. Tecnomen operates in 13 locations worldwide. Systems developed by the company have been delivered into more than 50 countries. The company´s net sales in 1999 totalled 300 million mark and the company employs some 500 persons. Tecnomen is listed at the Helsinki Exchanges and operates as a part of the Kyro technologies group.
