Husband and Wife Team Take Home Top Honors In Time for Beauty Academy Opening
Bloomfield, NJ (July 22, 2010)—The Bond Academy-L’ANZA Institute announces that Oscar and Wendy Bond have been awarded the top honor at the North American Hairstyling Awards 2010, winning the Master Stylist category. This is a monumental award for the internationally renowned husband-and-wife style and color team, who are the Creative Directors for L’ANZA Healing Haircare, notable beauty educators and co-founders of Manhattan’s acclaimed Oscar Bond Salon.

Part of the Professional Beauty Association’s Beauty Week, the NAHA 2010 awards ceremony took place on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Bonds were one of five nominees to be invited to submit for the award show’s most prestigious category. Their winning submission was “Classic Decades of Hairdressing: Shadow and Light,” which captured the stylistic decades 1960-2000 with iconic looks as interpreted and styled by the Bonds.
This win is also exciting for Oscar and Wendy Bond’s newest venture, the first-ever Bond Academy-L’ANZA Institute, which is scheduled to open in fall 2010 in Bloomfield, NJ. This new educational collaboration with editorial stylist Thomas McKiver and L’ANZA Healing Haircare stands apart from other beauty academies in the area, as the founders’ successful careers are unique in the industry, and classes have been developed and will be directed by the industry masters themselves.
