Lundbergs Interim report January – March 2020

• On March 31, 2020, net asset value after deferred tax amounted to SEK 85.9 billion (SEK 346 per share), compared with SEK 96.3 billion (SEK 388 per share) on December 31, 2019. The corresponding values on May 27, 2020 were SEK 92.1 billion (SEK 371 per share).
   
• Consolidated net sales amounted to SEK 5.414 billion (5,615).
   
• Profit after financial items amounted to SEK -2,750 m. (4,902) where earnings from participations in associated companies amounted to SEK -2,982 m. (2,688). Profit after financial items excluding unrealized changes in value amounted to SEK -2,096 m. (4,093).
   
• Profit after taxes amounted to SEK -2,787 m. (4,451) of which non-controlling interests accounted for SEK 66 m. (612).
   
• Earnings per share attributable to the Parent Company’s shareholders totaled SEK -11.50 (15.48).
   
• The outbreak of Covid-19 has had a limited impact on earnings in Lundbergs Fastigheter and in Holmen. On the other hand, the decline in value of real estate and listed shares has had a negative impact on both earnings in Hufvudstaden and the share of profits in Industrivärden. During the second quarter, rental income in Lundbergs Fastigheter as well as operations in our portfolio companies will be adversely affected.

• In view of the uncertainty created by Covid-19 and no dividend from our portfolio companies, the Board has withdrawn previous proposals for dividends. During the autumn, the Board will evaluate whether a dividend should be paid and in that case call for an Extraordinary General Meeting.
