Visitors to the Laerdal stand (stand 8) will also have an opportunity to enter a draw to win a Philips 19” Flat Screen TV

The HeartStart FR3 from Laerdal Medical - a new generation of defibrillator for the Emergency Medical Services – will be launched at this year’s Emergency Services Show (stand 8). Designed to provide AED solutions for emergency responders, the HeartStart FR3 employs a host of design innovations to help improve the survival rate of out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest patients.

Laerdal Medical Ltd (Laerdal) has been leading the way in the campaign to raise awareness of the importance of early defibrillation and increase the spread of automated external defibrillators in locations where they can be quickly and efficiently used in case of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Combining an intuitive interface with the most advanced and trusted features of the HeartStart FR2, FRx and MRx, the new HeartStart FR3 delivers the fastest therapy, helps facilitate the delivery of high quality CPR and allows for flexible data management.

SimMan Essential has been designed to meet the challenge of making wireless simulation training more accessible to a wider healthcare community, including the emergency services. SimMan Essential is a realistic, adult, full body, advanced, wireless patient simulator, offering comprehensive clinical functionality to teach the core skills of airway, breathing, cardiac and circulation management. Robust and reliable, SimMan Essential will withstand the rigours of extensive use in field based simulations.

As part of its growing portfolio of healthcare education products for obstetricians and midwives, Laerdal recently launched MamaNatalie. This birthing simulator provides realistic and affordable training in maternal and newborn care and will also be shown on the stand. With ‘simplicity of use’ being a fundamental principle in the design of both these products, both novice and experienced instructors can now take full advantage of the benefits of simulation.

With Laerdal’s long held mission - ‘Helping Save Lives’ – the stand wouldn’t be complete without showing Laerdal’s extensive range of familiar and reliable airway management and immobilization equipment including The BAG disposable resuscitator, the Stifneck collar, SpeedBlocks head immobiliser, the BaXstrap Spineboard and MediCool.
