Göran Laurén appointed Deputy Head of Asset Management

Göran Laurén has been appointed Deputy Head of Asset Management at Länsförsäkringar AB. Göran will take office at year-end and succeed Lars Florén who will retire in the spring of 2012. Göran is currently Executive Vice President of Länsförsäkringar’s mortgage operations, Länsförsäkringar Hypotek, and the head of its finance operations.

Asset Management is responsible for the management of all of Länsförsäkringar AB’s assets in the non-life insurance and life-assurance companies, totalling approximately SEK 150 billion. Asset Management is also responsible for the selection of external funds. Länsförsäkringar AB’s investment fund companies are responsible for the management of the company’s own funds.

Göran will also be responsible for returns in Länsförsäkringar AB’s non-life insurance portfolios. In addition, his work duties will include ensuring a high level of control in all areas of the business activities and in the unit,” says Gustav Karner, CFO of Länsförsäkringar AB.
