Länsförsäkringar’s more than 100,000 bank card customers will be able to withdraw cash in ICA’s 1,400 food stores nationwide in Sweden. This is the result of a cooperation agreement the companies signed on April 3, 2006.

“Now we increase the accessibility to cash further for our customers. The cooperation also creates security and flexibility for the future,” says Tomas Johansson, President of Länsförsäkringar Bank. Through the cooperation, Länsförsäkringar’s bank customers can withdraw a maximum of SEK 2,000 at each occasion without having to make any purchases. The withdrawal is free of charge to the customer. “The possibility to make withdrawals provides added service to ICA’s customers and the amount of cash in the stores is reduced,” says Jörgen Wennberg, President of ICA Banken. Today, Länsförsäkringar has more than 90 bank offices through the 24 local regional insurance companies nationwide. Länsförsäkringar’s bank customers also have access to all of the ATM’s throughout Sweden and can conduct banking via the Internet, telephone or Svensk Kassaservice (Swedish Cashier Service). “In precisely the same manner as Länsförsäkringar, ICA is close to the customer. The cooperation makes us even stronger and increases our local presence further,” says Tomas Johansson.
