Reduced costs and sharper customer offering with new card supplier

Länsförsäkringar Bank AB and EDB Business Partner Sverige AB have signed an agreement covering services for card processing and collection of card transactions.

“This solution provides us cost efficiency and flexibility. With the new platform, we can easily develop new customer offerings and it creates greater flexibility for continued product development,” says Johan Nyman, Manager Savings and Payments, Länsförsäkringar Bank AB.

“We view Länsförsäkringar’s selection of our card services as evidence of the strength in EDB’s offering within services to the Bank & Finance segment. Länsförsäkringar’s choice of us as partner is another important step in strengthening EDB’s position on the card market in Sweden,” says Mats Fossum, Bank & Finance Manager at EDB in Sweden.

The agreement, which becomes effective in 2007, also contributes to increased security for customers as a result of EMV chip technology being added to the card.
