The Land and Environment Court has today delivered a ruling in the case concerning the
Stortjärnhobben exploitation concession. The decision means that Lappland Guldprospektering AB is
granted access to the area – a decisive step toward future mining operations in the region.
In today’s ruling, the Land and Environment Court confirms that Lappland Guldprospektering AB is
granted access to the area in question for exploitation, meaning the Stortjärnhobben project can now
enter its next phase. The only change compared to the previous decision by the Chief Mining
Inspector concerns the compensation amount to Vapsten Sami Village, which has been set at SEK
122,088. All other appeals are rejected, and the previous interim decision from June 28, 2024, is revoked.

The exploitation concession for Stortjärnhobben is a key part of Lappland Guldprospektering’s long-
term commitment to sustainable mining development in the region. The project has undergone legalreview, and today’s ruling provides clarity regarding land use.

“We are very pleased with the decision and now look forward to shifting into the next gear
regarding the development of the Stortjärnhobben gold project. The court’s ruling is an
exceptionally important step and now gives us the right to use and manage the area,” says
CEO Fredrik Johansson.
