Drilling in Graninge Confirms Mineralized Zone
Lappland Guldprospektering announces today that 4 out of 5 drill holes in the Graninge drilling program have intersected a mineralization of the same type previously observed in outcrops. The width of the mineralization varies, and the company has seen promising indications in the drilling so far. The fifth and final hole in this campaign was drilled along the mineralization. The company is now sending the drill cores for analysis to guide further exploration decisions.
"It is important to emphasize that we do not yet have any analysis results and therefore cannot confirm the presence of gold or any potential grades. Samples will be sent for analysis, and we look forward to sharing the results as soon as they become available. It is encouraging to observe a continuous mineralization in the drill cores, which strengthens our belief in the project's potential. We are excited to continue our investigations and receive the first assay results," says Karl-Åke Johansson, CEO of Lappland Guldprospektering AB.
Graninge is an exploration permit area located outside Sollefteå in Ångermanland and is owned by Lappland Guldprospektering. It is a relatively new prospect, based on findings of boulders and outcrops with promising gold grades.
Lappland Guldprospektering is currently drilling at two different projects. Earlier this fall, the company reported that the initial drilling program in its Stortjärnhobben mining concession intersected a high-grade mineralized zone of 9 meters with an average of 8.5 grams of gold per ton. The company plans to resume exploration drilling at Stortjärnhobben in the spring.
