One of the most successful drivers over the years in the DTM Championship, British-born Paffett joins a group of outstanding motor racing stars, past and present, who now support the work of Laureus, including Academy Members Emerson Fittipaldi and Mika Hakkinen and Ambassadors Nico Rosberg, David Coulthard and Ralf Schumacher.

Gary Paffett said: “I am proud to become a Laureus Ambassador. I think that the work done by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is a great way of bringing joy to children and young people in need by means of sport. Hopefully, I can assist the Foundation in this work.”

Paffett has started in more than 100 DTM races in his career, winning the championship in 2005. He currently leads the ART team, which is competing in its first season of DTM racing with Mercedes.
