Shepherd Group and Nationwide Platforms agree supply deal
Nationwide Platforms has been selected as the Shepherd Group’s preferred supplier of powered access in a new three year deal.
Shepherd Group is one of the UK’s largest privately owned building groups in the UK, with a requirement for powered access across its businesses in the construction, engineering, manufacturing and property development sectors.
The nature of work undertaken by Shepherd Group companies meant that its chosen supplier had to be able to provide a large, high quality, diverse fleet with national coverage. Now, having agreed a deal with Nationwide Platforms, Shepherd Group will have access to the country’s largest fleet of access platforms from a depot network comprising 26 locations; all of which adhere to the powered access leader’s Technical Excellence (TechX) standard.
With work taking place in a range of industries and sectors, ranging from schools and hospitals to industrial, energy, science and technology developments, Shepherd selected Nationwide Platforms for its unrivalled scope of fleet, which includes units designed to support safe and effective work at height between 3.5 to 70 metres.
Over the last two years, Nationwide Platforms has invested more than £43million in brand new equipment, significantly replenishing its fleet to continue providing its customers with a leading product range and service.
Having worked together on a series of recent projects, Shepherd Group received a first-hand demonstration of Nationwide Platforms’ professionalism and its commitment to prompt delivery and product reliability.
The business will also have access to Nationwide Platforms’ exclusive BlueSky Solutions product innovations, as well as its market leading working at height training services.
