Access leader Nationwide Platforms has taken delivery of a range of new vehicle mounted platforms to support the cross-sector work of its customers.

More than 25 van mounted platforms were recently introduced to the UK fleet, including 12.5 and 14 metre models which are popularly deployed for telecoms and utilities applications.

A number of high specification Versalift units on Iveco chassis have also been procured as part of the Nationwide Platforms 2013 investment programme. These 16.5 metre models feature reversing cameras, side and bucket working lights, full internal racking, and hot and cold hand wash features.

The business invested in the units to meet the long term hire needs of its customers who rely on the versatility, convenience and safety provided by a van mount. Designed to provide highly manoeuvrable and effective access solutions in even busy or awkward locations, these vehicle mounted access platforms are often highly utilised for ongoing maintenance or long term project tasks.

Nationwide Platforms has also taken delivery of four new award winning truck mounted platforms from Ruthmann. Providing access to working heights of 33 metres from a 7.5 tonne chassis, the T330 units deliver the working solutions normally associated with an 18 tonne platform, making them ideal for work on weight restricted sites and in towns and cities.

The business’ enhanced range of vehicle mounted platforms will be supported by its team of sector specific account managers, which provide industry specialisms in areas including signage, media, highways, utilities, telecoms, and Local Government projects. Customers can also rely on the support of Nationwide Platforms’ fully trained operators whose years of experience have been tried and tested on a broad array of projects and challenges.

Peter Douglas, Nationwide Platforms’ Operations Director, commented on the fleet introductions which mark the latest phase of the business’ major fleet replenishment programme.

He said: “The latest additions to our fleet represent our commitment to providing the best possible service to all of our customers, helping them achieve their goals safely and effectively, whatever the task. Our new truck and van mounted units further enhance our fleet and help us continue to ensure that we continue to deliver truly market leading solutions on every job.”

Nationwide Platforms offer the UK’s largest fleet of vehicle mounted platforms, providing more than 500 units between nine and 70 metres from strategic locations across the country.
