Framfab increases its ownership in Bredbandsbolaget to 11.3 per cent. The collaboration between B2 and NTL will also lead to a considerably expanded market for Framfab's portal software Brikks. The agreement between Framfab and B2 included a turnover-related supplementary purchasing price. In accordance with the agreement, the supplementary purchasing price has been converted to shares corresponding to an ownership of 5.25 per cent before B2 new issue which is now being undertaken. The conversion will enable Framfab to report income of about SEK 100 million in March. Framfab invested SEK 36 million in the new issue and has thus utilised its subscription right to the full, as have the other shareholders. After the conversion of the supplementary purchasing price and the new issue, Framfab's holdings in B2 will increase from 9.6 per cent to 11.3 per cent. "The agreement with NTL will position B2 as the largest broadband operator in Europe. This will create an enormous potential for Brikks to become the de facto standard for broadband portals", says Jonas Birgersson, CEO Framfab and chairman of B2. Brikks is a meta software developed by Framfab which makes it possible to use one and the same gateway irrespective of whether it is accessed via broadband, mobiles or the narrowband Internet.
