Framfab starts a European chain of advertising agencies Internet company Framfab is continuing its aggressive expansion strategy. As a step on the road to a European chain of advertising agencies, it has acquired the successful Danish advertising agency Halbye, Kaag & Partners. Framfab's expertise in on-line marketing and developing digital business strategies combined with Halbye, Kaag & Partners' experience of international campaigns provides the ultimate service for companies lookingto market products, opinions or activities on the net. This gives Framfab a unique opportunity to handle the entire marketing process and to create campaigns and activities which combine and integrate off and on- line activities. "The acquisition of Halbye, Kaag & Partners is part of the work to create a solid network of strong players in the area of off-line advertising. Framfab's Internet expertise and Halbye, Kaag & Partners' advertising skills also provide an extremely exciting business model to work on," says Tim Frank Andersen, vice president of International Sales & Marketing Framfab. Since the beginning of 1998 Halbye, Kaag & Partners has almost exclusively created international campaigns and has a solid position in the Danish market. The company employs a staff of 11, with customers including TV2, Stimorol, Spies, Anders And & Co., Europæiske Rejseforsikring, Nilfisk, Sticks & Sushi and Tholstrup Cheese. The agency will change its name to Halbye, Kaag & Framfab. "We find that customers today require a product which traditional agencies are unable to supply," says Steen Halbye, managing director of Halbye, Kaag& Partners. "At the same time we can see that the net places great emphasis on relevance - something we have also always focused on. What's more the future focus will be on quantification, new media such as broadband and the mobile network, plus a rising demand for individualising messages combined with a much more international market from day one. The combination of skills in the two businesses creates a unique set-up ready for the demands of the future." Work on identifying players in the other European countries will start shortly, so that the company can develop a chain of leading advertising agencies under the auspices of Framfab as quickly as possible.
