IKEA and Driftbolaget to increase co-operation

Driftbolaget and IKEA to increase co-operation IKEA has chosen Driftbolaget to host IKEA's websites in the USA and Canada. IKEA is already represented on the Internet but it is not until now their websites are transferred to a common and conceptual environment. When IKEA enters the US and Canadian markets the company chooses to co- operate with Driftbolaget. This is a further step in IKEA's international commitment to a common profile for their Internet establishment. To Driftbolaget this implies an international contract in managing IKEA's websites. The sites are physically located in Lund, Sweden with a leased line over the Atlantic. The number of visitors on the sites is estimated to 1,5 million per month. "This involves a great undertaking and a big confidence in Driftbolaget since USA and Canada are two of IKEA's largest markets on the Internet", says Hans Ristner, CEO at Driftbolaget. He views this as yet another proof of that Driftbolaget now is accepted as a serious and competent company by more and more global clients. "Driftbolaget was involved early in IKEA's web venture and have designed a fully redundant platform with high availability around the clock. This platform has now been increased and prepared for receiving traffic from USA and Canada.
