Reference is made to stock exchange release 12 June 2020, announcing that BRAbank ASA (BRAbank) and Easybank ASA (Easybank) will merge with the intent to create a leading consumer and SME digital niche bank with a Nordic footprint.

As a result of the ongoing merger, founder, previous CEO and currently strategic adviser at BRAbank, Bent Gjendem will leave the company effective as of today.

“I would like to thank Bent for his commitment during the first five years of our journey. Bent has been instrumental in taking BRAbank from a small Bergen based challenger to an established digital consumer bank in the Nordics” says CEO Hans Ljøen.

“BRAbank is entering a new, exciting phase with strong leadership in place. The time is right for me to leave. I have very much appreciated being part of a great team, growing the business and scaling our operations from our home grown, leading technology platform. Now I want to use what we have learned to help other businesses achieve technology and customer experience driven growth”, says Bent Gjendem.
