"This signed agreement is LeadDesk's sixth customer contract with a Nordic telecom operator. The three-year contract is valued at EUR 0.7 million and includes a one-year extension option," says CEO Olli Nokso-Koivisto.

LeadDesk is a leading provider of cloud-based contact center software in Europe and has established itself as the preferred choice for outbound sales and customer service leaders. It has also invested heavily in bringing artificial intelligence (AI) to the contact center sector.

"Our clients accumulate 100 million minutes of customer interactions per quarter, which they can now analyze with AI. For example, turning speech into high-quality text is essential for training salespeople and customer service agents, ensuring high-quality customer interactions, and handling complaints efficiently," says Nokso-Koivisto.

LeadDesk’s expertise in marginal languages such as Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian and its familiarity with EU regulations give LeadDesk a significant competitive advantage in the European market.

"We continue to train AI models to understand European languages better. Big international giants in the industry do not have the same focus on these languages."

LeadDesk's customers, including many consumer brands, are considering where AI can add value to their sales and customer service. “One of the big questions is, can AI really succeed, even as a salesperson? It depends on the context," says Nokso-Koivisto.

"Ultimately, it's about value. When a customer engages with a company, it's about providing the most valuable encounter possible. A bot can work for some situations, but when people want to be understood and be met with empathy, you want a human being at the other end. Our job is to find the most appropriate way for brands to interact with each customer without sacrificing quality of service."
