LED iBond appoints new CEO

Over the past few years LED iBond International (LED iBond) has developed into an international growth company, and the company’s growth strategy is increasingly focusing on international sales. Therefore, the Board of Directors has appointed Pia Stangerup, currently Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), as new CEO for LED iBond. Pia Stangerup replaces Rolf H. Sprunk-Jansen, who is stepping down.

Bjarne Henning Jensen, Chairman of the Board of LED iBond, says:

- Rolf H. Sprunk-Jansen has played a key role in LED iBond's transformation from a technology start-up to a listed growth company with a strong portfolio of innovative light and data solutions. On behalf of the Board and shareholders, I would like to thank Rolf for a very strong effort that has helped secure the company the position we have today. At the same time, I am pleased that Pia Stangerup has accepted the challenge as LED iBond's future CEO. I am confident that with her years of experience in international business development, she is the right person to lead LED iBond's internationalization strategy.

Pia Stangerup joined LED iBond as CCO in 2020 and she has already built a solid foundation for LED iBond’s internationalization strategy. Pia Stangerup holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and Languages and is an experienced commercial manager with an international focus. Her career includes two years as Vice President and Business Unit Manager at Phase One and seven years as Senior Director of International Sales & Marketing at Demant.

Rolf H. Sprunk-Jansen says:

- I have really enjoyed leading LED iBond this far and I am proud of the results that we have achieved. I respect and support the Board’s decision to hand over the execution of LED iBond’s international growth strategy to Pia who has solid experience with international business development.
