Residential Properties Slow on the LED Uptake
The LED lighting revolution that has been bubbling under the surface for years is starting to boil over, with the UK market for LED lighting expected to expand to £1bn by 2018 (according to Retail Week). However, despite this boom, the residential lighting sector has not quite taken to the idea of LED lighting as much as the commercial sector has. Despite the obvious benefits of cheaper electricity bills as well as more environmentally friendly lighting, or the falling prices of LED products over the last 12 months, homeowners have generally appeared reluctant to make the switch to LED.
