Ledstiernan becomes one of largest shareholders in the Internet newspaper E-24 Ledstiernan has subscribed to 500,000 shares in E-24, a new digital business newspaper, at a price of MSEK 10 as part of a new issue. This makes it one of the largest shareholders - with 11.4 per cent of the capital (approx. 10 % after full dilution resulting from conversion of outstanding options). The founders and majority shareholders are journalists Thomas Peterssohn, Andreas Cervenka and Mats Edman. Other shareholders include Hierta Ventures, VLT Group and Göteborgs-Posten Ventures. Olof Stenhammer will represent Ledstiernan on the board of E-24. E-24 will be the first Internet-based business newspaper in the Nordic countries. E-24 will publish business news focusing on the stock and capital markets in real time. Interactivity and mobile distribution are included in the company's business development plans. The President of Ekonomi24 AB is Mats Edman, whose past jobs include periods as editor-in- chief of Veckans Affärer and Direkt, a leading news agency. Thomas Peterssohn, who comes from Dagens Industri, will be editor-in-chief of this new Internet newspaper which expected to commence publication at the end of the summer. "We represent an entirely new type of medium, and E-24 will be alone in utilising all the new functions - in terms of journalism and commercially - that the Internet provides. We believe that the presence of Ledstiernan and a number of media companies as shareholders is tangible evidence of the exciting potential for our business idea," said Mats Edman, President. "Dealing in shares and stocks is becoming an increasingly global activity and, increasingly, it is taking place on-line, 24 hours a day. This means that investor demand for information in real time will steadily grow. E-24 satisfies all the requirements for an exciting, interactive business medium that fills this gap," comments Olof Stenhammar, OM and Ledstiernan, who is to joint the board of E-24. "E-24 will be a stimulating addition within the TIME sector. We hope to be able to contribute our knowledge of financial markets, of the Internet and of the mobile communication sector," adds Ledstiernan's president, Johan Wachtmeister.
