Ledstiernan established valuable links with venture capital companies
Ledstiernan established valuable links with venture capital companies Ledstiernan has recently been elected to the Wireless Internet Venture Association (WIVA), an association of eight international venture capital companies with close ties with telecom operators and a focus on mobile Internet. WIVA was founded in February 2000 by seven venture capital companies with the object of exchanging ideas and experience relating to investments in companies within mobile Internet, and to discuss opportunities for co-investments. Most of WIVA's members are closely associated with telecom operators, which is of great interest to Ledstiernan and its portfolio companies. Member of 3I, a leading international venture capital company with more than 40 offices worldwide. www.3i.com Members of WIVA meet regularly three or four times a year. The latest meeting was held November 112, 2001 in Tokyo. Ledstiernan was elected at this meeting, becoming the eighth member.
