The Swedish real estate company Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (SBB) and the construction company Lehto Group have started cooperation with a large service home contract. SBB has acquired seven service homes around Finland to be used by various operators and stakeholders. The contract is valued at approximately EUR 23 million and the properties were transferred to SBB when the contract was signed. One of the buildings is completely finished and the rest will be completed soon.

“This is a new partnership and the cooperation has started very well. Naturally, we are delighted about our new partners in the service homes market. These kinds of contracts will eventually ensure the provision of services to meet the growing need for care throughout Finland,” says Joona Penttilä, Finance Manager, Lehto Group, Social Care and Educational Premises.

“We are very pleased with our cooperation with Lehto. As the largest player in the Nordic social infrastructure space, we look forward to being a long term owner of care properties with long leases, 16 years on average,” says Ilija Batljan, CEO and Founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.
