LightLab receives grant from the Swedish Energy Agency

The research and development company LightLab Sweden AB, which develops a new energy efficient lighting technology without mercury and other hazardous materials, and the Department of Theoretical Chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) have received a positive response from the Swedish Energy Agency on an application for funding of a research project on development of quantum dot based phosphors for lighting applications.

The grant has a value of SEK 1.3 million during 2011 and 2012 for the project intending to develop a light powder with considerably increased lifetime, quality and inherent energy efficiency compared to those accessible on the market today.
