Integra ICT acquire Applied IT Solutions

Integra ICT, the Communications Specialist, has announced the acquisition of Hitchin based Applied IT Solutions Ltd.

The newly merged companies will operate under the Integra ICT brand from the existing Integra site in Sandy.

Integra ICT, formally known as Anglia Telecoms, has been established for over 20 years and is accredited with both BSI ISO 9001 and the environmental standard ISO 14001.

Integra MD Pas Ruggiero commented on the recent announcement; ‘I first met Stewart Peart, the MD of Applied IT, last year. I was immediately struck by our shared values and common approach to business growth. This acquisition allows Integra to provide a complete IT and communication technology offering.’

‘Applied IT has a solid track record in the provision of IT managed services. This enables us to expand and develop these services within our own client base. Our customers increasingly look for us to provide integrated voice and desktop solutions; it made sense to acquire an organisation which would complement our core voice expertise.’

Retention of key staff and their skills was considered critical in the merger process. Stewart Peart, former owner and MD of Applied IT has become a Director and Shareholder of Integra ICT. It is expected that Stewart will play a key role in future developments.

Stewart Peart stated; ‘Applied IT has been built with a strong client-focus and it's exciting to now be part of a larger company which shares this philosophy.”

The acquisition was brokered by Peter Watson from Prism Corporate Broking while the legal side for Integra ICT was handled by Duncan Walker at Greenwood Solicitors.

This announcement comes at the end of a very successful year for Integra who increased their profitability by 20% during 2011.

Much of this success is attributed to Integra’s core philosophy of the 5 C’s - Commitment, Communication, Collaboration, Client Focus and Constant and Never-ending Improvement (CANI).
