Nilfisk UK have launched a dedicated hire division operating from Nilfisk- ICM in the West Midlands. The Company is now offering a national hire service ranging from mains operated scrubber dryers through to municipal sweepers. Industrial Vacuums and heavy duty Pressure Washers will also be available on the hire fleet.

The creation of a formal hire division follows the strategic acquisition of ICM – Industrial Cleaning Machines earlier this year.

The move allows the market place to ‘try before they buy’ and hire direct from the manufacturer. The Nilfisk-ICM team are guaranteeing a next day delivery service with same day deliveries possible dependent on timing and geography.

Leigh Mason, Sales Director for Nilfisk commented on the initiative; ‘The announcement is very much in line with our overall closer to market strategy, providing a seamless, all encompassing one stop shop to the market. Clients increasingly have less time to manage multiple suppliers across a myriad of sectors. Whether it is sales, lease, service or hire the Nilfisk team have the options available to meet the demands of an exacting industry.’

Short to long term contracts are available with Nilfisk guaranteeing brand new equipment for long term agreements up to 3 years duration.

The service is provided with the full support of the national Nilfisk team who are available to provide expert advice on all aspects of cleaning applications and machine choice. Full installation and certificated training will be carried out on site if required.

Martin Chambers, Director of Operations and Service for Nilfisk UK stated; ‘Nilfisk-ICM is an ideal platform for us to provide a direct hire service across the country. The midland based operation boasts a well located workshop and highly qualified engineers experienced with large engine equipment. Service remains a crucial element of our after sales operation, this dedication will be extended to our hire activities and delivered by an expert team.’

It is fair to say that cleaning equipment has historically been purchased by end users and contractors alike. There are however many situations where a hire contract is an ideal solution. Allowing the client or end user the ability to ‘try before they buy’ is just one of them. Sites can also find themselves in urgent need of a machine due to special events or peaks in footfall.

Machine hire is therefore totally flexible, involves no capital expenditure and no depreciation. Cash flow is improved whilst monthly hire costs are fully tax deductible.

2012 has been a busy year so far for the Nilfisk Group who have completed three major acquisitions including two outdoor cleaning companies –one French and one Danish. These strategic acquisitions have led to the recent set up of the Nilfisk Outdoor Division allowing markets across the globe access to green and winter maintenance machines including road sweepers.

Nilfisk is present today in 43 countries worldwide and is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of professional cleaning equipment. Customers benefit from a complete ‘one stop shop’ solution with the product range extending from Tub Vacs through to Grounds Maintenance, Road Sweepers and Trucks.
