Limt patent for DVTNR - Digital Video Noise Reduction for the TV-industry The Swedish Patent and Registration Office - PRV has decided to grant a patent for "Digital Video Noise Reduction". DVTNR (Digital Video Temporal Noise Reduction) is a method developed by the Swedish TV-media company Limt Technology AB that can edit uncompressed video. The method filters different kinds of noise or defects out of a sequence of moving pictures. This means as an example that even damages as scratches, dirt and fingerprints in a picture can be removed. Limt´s DVTNR technology has the potential of improving several products in the field of signal processing in moving pictures, such as cameras, monitors, and peripheral equipment. Limt intends to use their technology in their own future products, as well as licensing it to the TV-industry.
