Murray Hill & New Providence, N.J., U.S., October 13, 2011 Linde North America will showcase the effectiveness of its water treatment solutions at the 84th Annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, California, October 17–19.

Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company, will feature its proven technologies for treating wastewater, drinking water and industrial process water. The Water Environment Federation (WEF), sponsor of the conference, is a technical and educational organization representing water quality professionals around the world.

Bob D’Orazio, program manager – chemicals industry for Linde North America, said, “Linde has several proven solutions that can be used effectively and economically across a variety of water treatment systems. And with Linde’s world-wide network of oxygen and carbon dioxide plants, we have the process gases technology and equipment where and when they are needed throughout the world.” Linde also has systems for ozone-based disinfection.

Visit Linde engineers in booth #8732 to discuss Linde's solutions that can be applied throughout the water cycle -- from drinking water to wastewater to ponds, lakes, and streams. Linde's SOLVOX® series of equipment is an efficient means to dissolve oxygen in various applications during water treatment processes. The SOLVOCARB® method uses environmentally friendly carbon dioxide (CO2), as opposed to potentially dangerous and expensive mineral acids, to neutralize alkaline waters. And the AXENIS™ system treats wastewater to an exceptional standard which is suitable for reuse or discharge to a waterway.

“Linde’s gases-based environmental systems for water treatment offer maximum versatility to operators,” D’Orazio said.

The Linde Group is a world-leading gases and engineering company with around 49,100 employees working in more than 100 countries worldwide. In the 2010 financial year, it achieved sales of EUR 12.9 billion (USD 17.9 billion).
