The Stockmann division has carried out a considerable renewal of its strategy and undergone an extensive transformation process. In line with this the company is now renewing its organisation. The functions of the Stockmann division will be organised so that they provide better support for the development of the customer experience, commercial processes and profitability. At the Management Team level the change means a strengthening of customer understanding, brand and customer communications and supply chain expertise. Going forward, each department store and the online store will have their own director with profit responsibility.

The Stockmann division has been carrying out a fundamental renewal of its strategy over the past two years, which focuses strongly on customer centricity, service and improvement of the customer experience. In addition, the online store renewal and the extensive remodelling of the department stores will offer customers a seamless shopping experience wherever they are. Stockmann is focusing on providing a holistic customer experience both at department stores and in the online store.

“We are reinforcing our organisational change with new appointments in strategic focus areas that are important for us. I am very pleased with the variety of experience that we will be gaining, both from Stockmann and elsewhere, for our key tasks in connection with the renewal of our operating model. I believe that with this team the implementation of our customer-centric strategy will progress in line with the goals and that customer satisfaction and profitability will improve,” says Jari Latvanen, CEO of Stockmann Group.

The new operating model will be adopted as of 1 February 2022.
