Correction: Preliminary accounts report 1997/98

PRELIMINARY ACCOUNTS REPORT 1997/98 1 September 1997 - 31 August 1998 Profit for the financial year increased by 25 per cent Sales in the fourth quarter of the financial year increased by 23 per cent to SEK 816M (666). During the same period, operating profit rose to SEK 53M (12) and profit after financial items improved by 367 per cent to SEK 56M (12). Operating profit for the financial year amounted to SEK 221M (189). Profit after financial items increased by 25 per cent to SEK 221M (178). During the 1997/98 financial year, Lindex's sales rose by 11.3 per cent (8.6) to SEK 3,212M (2,887). Lindex's market shares continued to increase. The first four stores in Lindex's fourth market, Germany, opened during the period March-April 1998. The number of visitors and sales exceeded the average for new stores in the Nordic countries. In total, 23 (15) new stores were opened. Lindex opens purchasing office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The sales trend in September and during the first part of October 1998 remained strong.
