Together with Järvsöbacken, Lindex offers the possibility to rent ski clothes for children this winter. The initiative is one of several that the fashion company has taken recently when it comes to testing new services and circular business models.

More than a year ago, we launched Lindex secondhand and rental of outerwear is a new interesting test we are doing to explore circular services and business models. The collaboration with Järvsöbacken gives us valuable insights into how our total offer can be developed to ensure that we create new services that provide both customer and environmental benefit,’ says Annette Tenstam, Strategic lead Circularity & Environmental Sustainability at Lindex.

During the winter and spring season 2023, visitors in Järvsöbacken can rent ski overall, ski pants and ski jacket from Lindex for the children for the day or for the entire stay. Destination Järvsö is the first destination in the Nordics to be sustainability certified according to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which is founded from the UN's Agenda 2030.

We see this as a very exciting project and work in being able to offer our guests added value in their ski trip to Järvsö. The children are and have always been our most important guests, so it feels extra fun to be able to offer this service to parents who want to rent ski clothes for their children’, says Peter Augustsson, CEO at Järvsöbacken.

Exploring circular business models is an important part of Lindex's circular transformation and Lindex's sustainability promise – to make a difference for future generations. One of the fashion company’s goals is that the entire assortment will be designed for longevity and/or circularity by 2025.
