Lindex in collaboration with Something Borrowed
Lindex starts renting out clothes and through their business Something Borrowed, they give their customers the opportunity to rent premium garments from the fashion company’s Extended collection.
”We want to make it possible for our customers to act sustainably. Renting clothes is an important part of that puzzle”, says Anna-Karin Dahlberg, Corporate Sustainability Manager at Lindex.
Earlier this year, Lindex launched their sustainability promise – to make a difference for future generations. An important part of that promise and a focus area for Lindex going forward is about supporting a sustainable lifestyle and a sustainable wardrobe.
”Our analyses show that most of our product’s climate impact is in the productions phase. As a customer, you can make a difference by increasing the use of what has already been produced. Using your clothes twice as many times means reducing the garment’s climate impact in half”, says Anna-Karin Dahlberg.
The collaboration with Something Borrowed is a step towards Lindex’s goal to prolong the lifetime of its products and use resources in the smartest way throughout its operations.
”Collaborating with major players such as Lindex is an important step for us and the industry as a whole. By working together, we have great opportunities to make a difference, which we are very happy about”, says Madlén Fondén, co-founder of Something Borrowed.
