Lindex strengthens its Senior Management Lindex is restructuring its organisation to be able to handle better its strong rate of expansion. Operations outside Sweden will be merged into Lindex International and Logistics and Personnel will become Group Functions. "The organisational strength will increase the management capacity for Lindex's continued development," says Hans Johansson, President of Lindex. The sales companies in the three countries: Norway, Finland and Germany will be merged into one organisational unit - Lindex International. The objective is to gain experience and collaboration between the different sales companies in the forms for concept implementation and organisational build-up and to make control of the operations more efficient. The Logistics Function becomes a separate Section in the Senior Management. It was previously organised as a Department within the Purchasing Section. As a result of Logistics becoming a separate function, its clarity and accessibility will increase. A number of analyses indicate that there is a potential for increased profitability through improved logistics within Lindex. The restructuring will facilitate the realisation of this potential. The Personnel Function will be established as a separate function in the Senior Management, compared with the previous organisation in which it was merged with the Store Operations Function in Sweden. The background is our rapid expansion in which the need for recruiting new staff within the Group will amount to approximately 400 staff per annum (several part-time). If we add to that the fact that the majority will take place on markets outside Sweden, it is easy to understand that Human Resource issues will increase in importance for Lindex. Appointments The following Executives, who are all included in Lindex's Senior Management, have been appointed in connection with this structural change: Head of Personnel Section Pia Karlsson, formerly Head of Personnel/Store Operations, Sweden. Head of Store Operations, Sweden The appointment of a Head of the Section will be made as soon as possible. During a transition period, Pia Karlsson will also be responsible for the Store Operations Section. Head of International Section The appointment of a Head of the Section will be made as soon as possible. In the meantime, the subsidiaries will report direct to the Senior Management in the same way as before. Head of Logistics Section Håkan Åkerström, previously Logistics Manager of Lindex. Head of IT Section On 1 December, Berthil Sörstedt - previously IT Manager of Ellos - will join Lindex as Head of the IT Section. The IT Section was already included in the Senior Management.
