LINK Mobility names large East Coast customer in the US
Oslo Norway, 5 May 2022: LINK Mobility (LINK) has won additional business on the East Coast with the large U.S. utility company AVANGRID through its U.S. subsidiary Message Broadcast. The win was included, unnamed, in the 4Q21 presentation on 10 February 2022. The agreement renews three subsidiary utilities (New York State Electric and Gas, Rochester Gas & Electric, and Central Maine Power) and onboards four additional East Coast utilities (Berkshire Gas Company, Connecticut Natural Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas, and United Illuminating Company). AVANGRID’S utility companies serve 3 million customers throughout New England and the state of New York.
Headquartered in Southern California, Message Broadcast has a strong presence on the West Coast. With the addition of AVANGRID to Message Broadcast’s roster of high-profile clients, LINK further diversifies and expands its U.S. footprint. This announcement follows an agreement last year with Eversource Energy, New England’s largest energy provider.
LINK and MB's new business with AVANGRID further allows the exploration of cross-selling to large European utilities, as AVANGRID is part of Spanish energy group Iberdrola. Based on previous experience with existing utility customers, there are significant opportunities in advancing their business across the country and globally.
