Converting environmental challenges into sustainable and profitable business solutions. Where research meets industry.
International Conference: Greening of Industry Network (GIN2012)
Linköping University, Sweden. October 22-24, 2012
How do we utilise unwanted materials? By converting garbage, waste and spill into valuable commodities? Stopping industrial processes? The Greening of Industry Network (GIN2012) conference provides more than 20 scientific sessions and presentations from 25 countries, including keynote talks from:
- Minister for Trade and Foreign Affairs - Ewa Björling
- County Governor of Östergötland, Elisabeth Nilsson
- CEO of Qlean Scandinavia, Petra Hammarstedt
- Vice-Chancellor of Linköping University, Helen Dannetun will open the scientific part of the GIN2012 Conference
However scientists from across the globe will not be visiting Sweden just to listen to the latest scientific findings. During the creative workshops, experiences will be exchanged and a dialogue will be initiated with, what the scientific community call, practitioners - i.e. those of us that work practically with sustainability issues at businesses, organizations and in the public sector.
Six Sustainability “Jam Sessions” will be held in Linköping, Norrköping and Mjölby. The hosts are
- Toyota Material Handling in Mjölby
- Tekniska Verken in Linköping
- Holmen's paper mills in Norrköping
- E.ON on the island of Händelö in Norrköping
- Vreta Clusters in Linköping
- SAAB Group in Linköping
