Litfy launches free e-book service!
Litfy offers thousands of free fiction e-books to book lovers the world over! Litfy's cloud based service is found at www.litfy.com and will soon be available in iPhone, iPad and Android too. Litfy's members can then read free e-books anywhere, anytime – completely free!
Litfy has launched a free, cloud based, e-book service at www.litfy.com in beta. From start Litfy has a couple of thousand popular works of fiction. The number of books is added to daily and the goal is to make 15 000 books available within two months. Litfy will offer all the classical pieces – from Jane Austen, Tolstoy and Dickens to HC Andersen, Voltaire and the Brontë sisters. The service is 100% free – everyone is welcome to read as much as they want, when they want. Initially the service will be available on the web. Starting September, iPhone, iPad and Android apps will be released. All apps will also be completely free.
Litfy's service is geared towards anyone who loves reading but it will come particularly in handy for literature students from all over the world: any student who is on a tight budget can appreciate free books!
Litfy.com offers numerous smart features to simplify the reading or studying experience: all books can be saved for future reference or returned to later, bookmarks can be added to any book so the readers knows exactly where they left off. Litfy has a highlighting function as well as a note taking function so that readers can mark important sections and jot down any thought they get whilst studying. All highlighted sections and notes can be saved and shared with others. Litfy's reader is extremely user friendly and intuitive. Starting reading on Litfy takes only seconds - all you need to do is click on a book that interests you and start reading. The visitors to litfy.com are invited to create profiles and then continue on discovering all that Litfy has to offer – the most important being free e-books. Of course, litfy's members can communicate – discuss books, reading, studying and favorite authors in the litfy forum. Additional fun and useful functions will be added regularly this fall.
To celebrate the launch Litfy is hosting a “Litfy's Great Launch Sweepstakes” with prizes in the form of iPads – five Saturdays in a row iPad2s will be given away to a Litfy members. The sweepstakes is open for entries now.
